In autumn, the Saalachtal valley shows its most colourful side: the forests glow in warm shades of yellow and red, while the clear air offers ideal conditions for hiking and cycling tours. In addition to nature, the region also attracts visitors with cultural highlights. Saalfelden is particularly well known for its renowned jazz festival, which takes place every year at the end of August.
