A trip to Innsbruck opens up a new world full of culture and history.

The famous Golden Roof is a must-see for all visitors. Surrounded by charming alleyways and historic buildings, you can feel the pulse of history here. Stroll through the old town, enjoy a coffee in one of the many street cafés and let yourself be enchanted by the charm of the city.

The Nordkette, which you can easily reach from the city centre by cable car, is a special attraction. It takes you high up and offers you a spectacular view of the city and the surrounding Alps. If you love nature, you will particularly appreciate the unique connection between the city and the mountains. Whether for a hike or simply to enjoy the view - the Nordkette is an enrichment for your stay.

Our cultural tip:

The Hofkirche, which is located on the edge of Innsbruck's old town, was built between 1553 and 1563 as a burial church for Emperor Maximilian I, who died in 1519. Even though the coffin is empty - Maximilian was buried in the castle in Wiener Neustadt - the Court Church in Innsbruck is the most important monument in Tyrol and the grandest of all imperial tombs in Europe. The 28 larger-than-life bronze statues flanking the high tomb are particularly impressive. They show the relatives of Emperor Maximilian and his role models. The name "Schwarz-Mander-Kirche", as the Hofkirche is popularly known, also comes from these figures. Tip: When visiting the Hofkirche, you should also visit the Tyrolean Folk Art Museum next door.
